MOT fail...although not as I expected

I don't know whether anyone else has had this problem with their Zeds that are on Eibach springs but KwikFit couldn't MOT my car today as they couldn't get the jack all the way under the car as it is 'too low'.

The tester did say that the jack isn't the same as they have always used so I'm booked in at another depot next Saturday but God knows what I'll do if it can't be MOT'd!

It was always going to be a worrying day, I was having the Zed and my jacked up, knobbly tyred, 17 year old Freelander MOT'd too but thank god that passed fine. It's not all bad news today at least!

Jacked up  sounds like a right cowboy place.

I had fk springs before on and managed to jack my car up fine. He's obviously a retard.

This will be the jack that is situated on the actual ramp it self, that is used to jack each end of the car up to spin the wheels etc.. Once it's in the air.

Yep that's the one, the front could be done fine but they couldn't roll it under the car to the rear.

The same place did the MOT last year so god knows what's different this year but hey-ho.

It's not classed as a fail but he failed to do the test :(

I've got H&Rs 40 mm drop on my Z never had a problem with the MOT the only problem I've ever had is actually getting it on and off the ramp without having to remove my front splitter :D , but I do take it to the same guy every year helps to be friendly with your local tester he loves my car and knows it's well maintained

My concern is with you fella.......Kwikfit to do your MOT :dizzy: :rtfm:

Ha ha don't worry I won't let them near my cars for anything else. My local guy I always take it to prepares M3 rally cars & doesn't do MOT's, he normally arranges them with a garage he knows but they don't do Saturday's which is the only day I can do due to work :( I figure they can't go far wrong on an MOT either, they're not actually taking anything apart or fixing anything.
