Just sitting in the cafe across the road from the MOT station, can barely drink my tea.

Why is it always so bloody nerve racking, I know the car is tip top but still having trouble forcing down my cuppa!

Stu.

Hope it passes :) but garages usually do a deal where you get a service and cheaper MOT at the same time. Then you just wait for the phone call!

But if you have internet you could maybe log onto the MOT site and know in advance if it has passed ?

Nope - tried that, it takes days for it to update.

Put my car in on Thursday and it passed with no advisories
How did you get on Stu ??

I'm sure it went fine Stu, it isn't driven enough to wear anything out :poke:
It' prompted me to check the X3 mot which I found ran out 2 days ago!

All good - Passed with flying colours (Just as I thought/hoped  )

Just need to do more miles 3k in a year is a bit pitiful, a couple of long trips next year are called for I reckon :driving:

Well done Stu, I only managed 2k miles last year, too many toys

Our local garage drops off a reminder 1 month before the MOT runs out, had quite a few this last month

updates instantly

Nope- took two days for my Golf to appear.

I took the Sport for a MOT last Tuesday morning. At 11am the site was updated with the status of the MOT and I gave the garage a ring to say I'd be down to get in within the hour.

Had mine yesterday at rybrook Shrewsbury. I too was nervous as you can never tell what they will find. But I needn't of worried as it passed with no advisories. But I hate that gut feeling while you wait.

Maybe we should do the South of France instead of Normandy in the spring Stu!?

It's daft to get all anxious about an MOT but I know exactly how you feel - I take mine to the same place each year - non BMW and £35 - I book it in at 9am ( first one ) and wait in the cafe next door - last year he took the mickey because it was raining and commented how the wheels would get dirty - the year before he initially told me it failed because they found a speck of dust :D

Trying to use it more this year and have already managed around 400 miles since the last MOT in Feb

Fine with me Paul, the further south the better, I fancy the idea of a bit of early spring sunshine

It would also be a good excuse to get an Sanef toll tag, My lad normally does the honours at tolls, but I very much doubt he'll be coming.
