MOT Day.....

I had my MOT today, all good but an advisory on a slight oil leak from the diff, so thats going to be done week after next. After seeing Perry's Quaife thread its got me thinking, if the diff is coming out anyway...

We shall see. But happy regardless, the car has just turned 7 years with 30k on the clock, so not bad at all. MOT guy even described the car as immaculate which was nice to hear when I picked it up.

MOT today 5th pass in a row  but with advisories  Undertrays fitted & Engine covers fitted

Had my MOT yesterday and got the same advisories on mine. Pretty annoying really as it's not as if they are something that has been fitted to the car to hide a fault.
Still - in my eyes it's a clean pass with no work required, meaning carry on putting fuel in it and tinkering!

I put a seat cover on, an old matt in place of my nice one and put black duck type along the door kick and edge on seat base as so no shoes scuffs the plastic. I then also fully detail the inside afterwards too after any MOT or service.
And always say "Any marks, dents, scuffs, scratches anywhere on the car i will know about it and would be very very angry" :!: :)

Yea I put a seat cover on, it's for a train drivers seat but fits like a glove lol. I used to travel 15miles for an MOT just because they were reputable, luckily where I've moved to now there's an bmw specialist down the road, both the owners are ex-bmw techs.

I have 3 cars ( well 2 plus the 1989 vw campervan ) I have been going to a local garage for more than 20 years - nowadays charge £35 for a MOT - can't remember the last time I had an advisory - but then I look after my cars - if anything needs doing it's done before I take it . My previous zed passed two years running with no advisories ( 2003 3.0i ) my present 2004 3.0SE has just passed it's second ( in my ownership ) the same - no mention ever of undertrays etc. even the 26 year old VW has passed 3 years on the trot without advisories :D

just had mine done, £29 at the VW dealers, passed yehhhhhh. its amazing how time flies, this is now my 4th MOT

i've done 1059 miles since the last MOT
Wow!-I wonder what the lowest miles between mot's on here is?

My Westfield manages only a few hundred miles between each MOT. They're all track miles though, so does that count? :D

My ///M passed today and my S2000 a couple of weeks ago, both without any advisories. I'll be having the Westfield tested too in the next week or so before the track day season begins.
