MOT Day

Mine's sitting on the ramp at my local MOT place right now, and the burble from the Diablo exhaust is wonderful - don't usually get to hear it as an observer

Should sail through as it's had new discs & pads, new rear tyres, new diff, oil change, filter change, within a week or so.

And it's at a garage who don't do repairs on private vehicles.

mines in a week tomorrow  i think there is a broken rear spring (drivers) & i know there is a side light out :)
let,s see if they spot em

Mine went in last Monday and passed with no issues which is what I expected. :D
I took it to a small local garage that charges the full rate but they seem to be honest and reasonable in their rates. I was tempted by Halfords half price offer (noticed there is also an advert for them on the forum banner) but was worried they would 'find' something to fail it on just to get more business. Anybody used them and had issues?

Mine passed...but the tester asked if I knew I had Porsche fitment tyres on the rear. I didn't as I'd specifically ordered SuperSports from my local tyre man, and that's what's on the invoice. However the tyres are PS2s in Porsche N4 fitment.

If they were Supersports in Porsche fitment then I wouldn't mind so much, but as they're the older/softer PS2 compound I do, as I'd like another 20k miles out of my rears please :P

Tyre place is investigating... :?

Balls

Mine failed

Spilt front rear wishbone bushes

Looks like I will be polybushing soon than I had thought

Ahhh but you are sure to feel the difference once they are sorted
Have a good think before polly bushing though, if they were the ideal compromise between compliance, control and managing NVH I'm guessing manufacturers like BMW wouldn't waste millions producing composite or oil filled bushing? I used to fit them on clubman rally prepp'ed motors but be aware they will sharpen (exaggerate) any tram-lining tendencies and impose greater shock, vibration and loads on other suspension components and bushes. As part of a balanced package of changes for track use for instance they are good, otherwise tread carefully.
