MOT Advisory question

Hello all,

Is this advisory on a car for sale an issue? Most recent MOT passed with this one on it so it seems from the MOT check site.

Nearside Front Inner Suspension component pin or bush slightly worn (5.3.4 (a) (i))

Thanks for any advice.

Bushes are a routine item, but whenever I've had an advisory on worn suspension bushes I've changed them and found that they were pretty well gone and noticed the difference with the new ones. Depending on the bush you will find lots written about them on this site, most on the front are not hard DIY jobs if you have the tools.

I'd assume they need doing from a vehicle dynamics point of view and will possibly fail the next test so is a useful bargaining tool

Hi, thanks for the new replies.

I have had a look at how to do it and it seems doable (for me anyway, I am ok at the basics but not much more).

I agree on the negotiation side of things, and in fact would insist on a fresh MOT anyway (as per the excellent buyers guide on this site) so it would be perhaps have to be changed anyway ;)
