You were lucky with the weather, plenty of rain in Oxford today.

I didn't know that was the first time you led a run Perry - it certainly didn't feel like it, the pace was perfect

I've led odd sections before but that was the first one I've led start to finish and had to remember the route too - luckily Cindy helped with the navigation so we didn't take any wrong turns :lol:

Pity as a newbie that I had to miss this one but some good pics. Incidentally I see that most/all of the cars have got mesh in the roll over protectors. Is this normal as I dont have these on my 2.5 SE 05 plate.

It was most, not all, as I don't have one - yet!

I am told they make quite a difference when at speed. Advice, from Mike2510, is to keep a watch on EBay as they come up on there from time to time. I think that new from BMW they're >£250

I think you need to get the fitting kit as well as the mesh. Apparently some good fitting instructions on here somewhere - don't know where.

You should try to make the next meet - a great morning with people that you would want as friends!

Thanks to Cindy and Perry such a great run out this morning, the roads were lovely and clear and we managed on the whole to keep together. Always good meeting up with other forum members, really nice people.
I managed to get back and sort my CSL's and finally get them on bummer I didn't quite have enough time to get them sorted yesterday for the run today. Oh well we'll have to try and get another meet in real soon

It's necessary down here Paul - by the time we got to the cafe at 1030-ish the roads were filling up. I had a great (though slightly terrifying) hour long dark-time-top-down hoon to the start point with Jan down the country lanes, and a nice wee blast with him on the way back too, so it was wall-to-wall hoonage today. Still returned 23/24 mpg though - sounds bad, but given our antics I'm pleased.

Yep, the force is strong with her. Arm her with a camera, jack the seat up and see how she does next time. It kept WB amused when he was younger... Still does actually. I'm delighted she enjoyed it, she's a very well mannered young lady
