most unusual colour

Yes, except that isn't Imola red. As it states above the picture, it's Merlot red which WAS an individual option on non-M Z4's.

As you can see here on a real-life Z4:....

Err yes it is, it's Imola as those are both my cars.. I got the Imola paint from the dealer & sprayed the model myself. So nerrhhh.

Nope, there's a Bright Red non-metallic & there's a few about.

I might be wrong, but I thought Merlot Red was also a standard metallic colour - ie it wasn't Individual.

You said it yourself - I guess someone could have ordered a facelift Inidividual this colour, but i think you've made it up
