Most Recent Uprade for the Z4

Hi All,

It was my birthday yesterday and on my wish list was a new shinny key ring for the Z's keys, i like the idea of the enclosed key in the leather cover but you cant beat a nice key ring.

Anyway out for a meal last night with the family and my little one totters up and hands me a little wrapped box.....

Heres what i found





Its about the nicest key ring ive ever had, my wife contacted our local dealer who was super helpful and posted it as soon as she ordered it....

I'm feckin envious. We (in the US) can't get those due to some goofy trademark application by Nissan. Very nice key fob. Oh yeah, happy belated birthday, Paul.

I used to have one of them. Really liked it. I was given it as a gift by the dealer when I bought my roadster.

I have a nice smaller ///M one now - bought that myself. Got feck all from the dealer when I bought this one. Two hats.....

130 Euros for that it had better be solid silver.

I had no keyrings when I bought my Z so I got the Z4 keyring from a dealership, it's very nice. The stupid thing is people list them on ebay at the same price a dealer charges, sometimes more, and then there's postage to pay on top.

I also have a Sarasota dealer keyring which is pretty similar to that 130 Euro one, just a bit simpler shape and with the dealership details on one side. Got it for free just after getting my Z as my parents went into the dealership in Sarasota looking for a nice keyring for me as a gift and they got handed this one at the door

Last thing I want is a big lump of metal whacking against my steering column when I’m pushing on

+1........all i have is the original black leather BMW sheath which protects your key.I hate all that 'dangly' c rap.

Surely keeping it with the house keys is worse than a simple keyring I hate having multiple things jangling around so have only the keyring on the car key.

Even worse is the stupid soft toy dog my sister has on her car keys, how you're meant to put it in your trouser pocket without looking like a sex pest, I'll never know

Not to mention, those heavy keyrings are heck on the ignition. Of course, I really like that Z4 one. So, it's a stupid copyright thing here in the US? Don't know about you, but I'd never confuse our Z4s with the offerings from Nissan..... :x

That's the exact keyring I have. Looks and feels real quality. BTW it's never hit the column while driving yet.

Only reason I have it is with 2 drivers and 2 BMW's we have keys all over the place and with memory seats it's good to get the right key and car combination
