Most Pointless Vehicle

I love the looks of the superfasts, Ferrari, etc. and I can understand the bling and showboating, but for me cars are for driving, lots of it. I road in an F430 a few months ago and couldn't wait to get out of it, which wasn't that easy. Hard ride, loud as hell, no stowage, ridiculous running costs, paranoia every time some yob looks at you, and the worst is that with the exception of the autobahns, nowhere to get it out of fourth gear. No wonder why the used ones are so low mileage. YMMV
 
maybach - complete overpriced rubbish, when an s-class does the same job. Hate the things...

I can see why you say Cayenne... however, not long after it came out I borrowed one for a night, it was awesome! That thing defies physics... a mate I took out said it was as fast if not faster than hi Z3 2.8!

Back to the OP, I hate to say it but it's probably a car I want to buy myself... Citroen C6 - different, elegant and used, a lot of car for the money. But really, what is the point making a car (or in RHD version at least!) that hardly anyone will buy. Ultimately pointless, IMO, but I love the fact that there is still a need to make cars almost for the sake of it! That's with logic.

Personally... Chrysler 300Cs with Bentley bits stuck on them. :headbang: WHY? Who are you fooling.

Make an estate too small to transport anything
Make the Mini look ugly
Equip it with a door to let kids out into the middle of the road
Take a work type car - estate, but turbo it

What's the point of it all.
 
What was I thinking... I nominate the Hummer! Too big for European roads, yet built in such a way that they that the space inside isn't great, IIRC. Expensive and yet manages to look very cheap. As much as they looked the part in Generation Kill they have no business on the road!

Also applies to the Lamborghini LM002.
 
PawnSacrifice, I absolutely agree with you on the Hummer.... It's so F...ing big but then the space is so wasted .

I always found the Ford Fusion (Euro not US) pointless..

It's like a fat Fiesta, I don't see any reason for them designing it.

In general I hate the term MPV when used on small cars too (like Mercedes A-Class) when they are clearly Hatchbacks.

Well, someone put a 190bhp VR6 engine in it and it certainly made it more fun.

Maybe it should have been called the Skoda Fellatio Funny?
 
BMW M3 CSL. What kind of idiot is going to buy a harsh, uncompromised track car with a clunky diff and horrible, incomprehensible gearshifts and rattles and absolutely no creature comforts? :thumbsdown:
