I disagree and I think that's fell under the category of my original rant. I could buy a new car now, store it dry and make sure i spared no expense and that wouldn't make any difference to the value. Loads of car owners will do that, not cut corners on maintenance. Why does it make it any more special and in fact increase the value of the car just because you've seen the owner on tv?? What if the ad said Harry Johnson owned the car previously, a retired stock broker from Swindon, his family and friends know he looks after his cars so they put that in ad and use that to add thousands to the value.... total nonsense and I refer back to my original point! :? These stupid rumours and hear say statements should not impact how much Joe Public pays for a car, but some moronic mook will buy it based on that wanting an empty claim to fame.
