what's up, ya'll. so i'm curious as to what your morning commute is like.

i'll start this off by showing what my drive to work (25 miles one way) to work is like on a typical rush hour morning. i made it to work in about 30 minutes.

now, my commute to school is a different story. that drive is whack. but i'll save that for another day!

can ya'll share your drive with some video? what does the rest of the world look like?

this is a major onramp to highway 101 which takes you to san francisco or los angeles

this is what it's like on the drive to work. cruising at a nice 50 something.

If I posted a video of my drive to work (45kms) , you'd jump on a plane, fly up here and choke me.
:D
I drive 2 minutes to the edge of the city, and head west towards Banff, looking at the Rockies all the way, with all rush hour traffic going the other way. Eventually I turn off into the countryside and drive past cows deer and the occasional Elk until I get to work. Believe me, this is the only thing I will miss about working here when I leave.

I'd post something like this, but a few problems,
Generally dark in the mornings I go to work
People would see me drive in the middle of the road (avoiding potholes and dips that are always near the edges)
I speed

mystik, 30 mins to do 25 miles is pretty good. Last year I was taking 35 mins to do 6 miles, sometimes 60 mins if there was an accident.

my commute to work is 6 miles of hell into manchester city centre. it can go either 2 ways as follows:-

1. 15-20 mins tops if the kids are on half term
2. 40-50 mins when the kids are at school.

Both scenarios however still mean you have to put up with the idiots on the roads around manchester, which are some of the worst ive seen since living here almost 3 years, nobody seems to give a shi* especially people in 4x4's, taxi's and trucks. its a fight for survival.

Its far more chilled out when i go back home to see the parents in Yorkshire, i even get let out of junctions !

Easty your times are the same as mine i think, 6 miles in average of 20/25 mins or so.

I sometimes wish i lived outside of London, but to be honest it seems nearly as bad everywhere else now :o

i remember taking about an hour to drive to work from south miami beach (near university of miami) to ft. lauderdale during rush hour traffic in the morning. the distance between the two is no more than 15 or 20 miles though! in some parts.. just traveling down a mile can take a good 20 minutes.

my guess is that there are a lot of sh!tty drivers everywhere and the world is getting overly populated!!

25 miles round trip on dual carriageway against the rush hour flow. 17 mins there, 17 mins back!
