Morning blast with a French Flavour

We're heading into winter, so when I saw the forecast for this morning was for a mild day heading up to 18c, I threw the camera in the boot and the wife in the co-pilot's seat, and we enjoyed an hour and a half's drive over some twisty bits to Akaroa. French settlers arrived here in 1840, only just beaten by the British who signed the Treaty of Waitangi with the Maoris and pretty much sealed the failure of the French settlement plans.

Do you know, it didn't seem nearly as bad on the way there/back as it has been, so I'm not sure what's going on. The hellishly expensive refurb of the front Bilsteins was a definite improvement, but there was still 'something' going on with some steering vibration and front end 'clunking'. Still thinking sway bar, drop links, tie rack/rod need a good looking at, but I just haven't had the time to leave with (yet another) garage to fiddle with. I'd really just like to drive and enjoy it.
Nearly 6 months on and I'm still waiting on the Bluetooth upgrade I paid for to get music streaming working. Every time I ask the car yard they say the guy that does it will do it next time he's down here in the South Island. Wish they'd give me something more solid  . Will just have to keep on at them.

Lovely part of the world and I bet you don't spot many other Z4's. You're virtually tropical there, I have in-laws living in Dunedin and Invercargill. 18'C is approaching a 'scorcher' down there.
