More practical Z replacement from Blackpool

Who ever thought they’d hear one of Blackpool’s finest described as practical I hear you ask? Well on Saturday I became the proud owner of one of the last V8 Cerbera’s… and I thought I’d share the pics below 😃 if you’ve got preconceived ideas of TVR, leave them at the door 😂 aside from the fact that this particular car is concours, the late Cerbera’s are very well screwed together, the chassis and engines are the strongest they ever made. I’m properly in love with the car, having found a great local specialist who has and will look after it. All of that out of the way, my god does it go 😈 honestly the fastest thing I’ve driven, but I can see why people make comparisons to TVR with the M’s… although the Cerb is just on another level completely!
Here’s a few pics, feel immensely fortunate that I’ve been able to do it… roll on next season :driving:

Always loved TVR for their sometimes whacky design, such as the gauges on yours, congrats on the purchase that looks stunning

That will simply never grow old. 8) What a machine. I took one out in the wet once. Just plain awsome fun. :driving:

Lovely Cerb that, I came from Cerb ownership to Coupe ownership.

My AJP was a 4.5 with the 4.2 inlet like yours made a good 390bhp on the dyno. She never actually broke down on me in my ownership she had some funny quirks though

I’ve had many tvr variants, Interspersed with some z’ds.

The drive is always more “entertaining”

I still have this one….

Seems mad having 2 convertibles…. But I just can’t seem to get round to advertising it.

Fantastic car.

I've always loved TVRs but have never been in a position to buy one.

They strike me as a faster version of an M, but with no safety net! Enjoy. :driving:

I love the Tamora, fantastic looking car in a vert and prob may favourite TVR after the Sagaris

Thanks so much for the kind words everyone 🙏 feel immensely fortunate to have been able to do it at all, and still pinching myself it’s sat in my garage…

Certainly is beautiful! If you dont mind me asking...what sort of money gets one of those..?

So I paid £33k, and the way I’ve seen it that’s entry level 996 turbo coupe manual territory… but where one of those will be frankly shonky at that price, this is concours and has every bill since the sales order brand new. The incredible last owner of nine years has given me concours awards he’s won, along with a few other cherries on top too, so at this price point I’m incredibly happy with my choice; I never really was a Porsche guy to be honest (no offence to anyone who is, beautiful cars in their own right). This thing though, I’m properly in love with 😂

Also, might end up making no difference at all, but it never went to ‘merica which I never realised..: so it might be the best decision I ever made 🤞

Lots of love for a TVR, what a stunning example, congratulations 8)

Now its time to replace the entire exhaust with pipe so it sounds like a spitfire

not silly money, and something that I think will only increase in value as its concourse. Hope you enjoy owning it! I've slowly moved from wanting a perfect car (which entails much worry/expense to keep it that way, including arguments with the wife if she scratched an alloy etc ) , to one I can live with... (despite still being paranoid about parking next to other cars...) :D

Yeah it could be a good move couldn’t it… I know what you mean, the underside is undersealed and solid so usable without cleaning with a toothbrush, I don’t have time for that 😂 plan is PPF everywhere I can have done, and ceramic everything, to make it all more durable 👌
