More power from the 23i

Hi all,

Out of interest do people know is it possible to fit a throttle body or inlet manifold from a 3.0 on to a 2.5 to extract a few more ponies? I know this has been possible in the past on the M50/M52 engines with the m50b25 using a throttle body and putting it on a m52b28 to get 20bhp or so.

I know people may say sell your 2.5 and buy a 3.0 if you want more power but the above has been possible in the past right so?

Hi, some owners have had the 23i remapped for a modest improvement-it’s not going to set the world on fire though. 10 to 15bhp extra sounds familiar.
The e85 2.5si used the same 2.5 n52 engine developing 218bhp, I think the 23i was pegged back a little for emission/noise regs
