More power from a 2 litre

Hi looking at the various 2 l
some are badged 1.8 156 bhp some are 2.0 185bhp
Is this just a chip change? If so has anyone changed the chip and what’s your thoughts

Nice choice of car, this is indeed just a remap but typically the 18i is not as well specced.

There are loads of threads on the subject on here - look at PBondars threads for info.

As above, all the 2.0 range use the same engine & it’s only the software that alters the power. The chip doesn’t actually get changed but gets reprogrammed (remapped)
