More Noise...

Evening,

So i'll keep this short, a good friend of mine has had a B7 Audi RS4 for just over a year and he's just got round to fitting a Miltek exhaust and it's totally transformed the car...sounds like a total beast!!

So, wondering what can I do for more noise from my Z4C? I heard a lot of people do a back box delete...I like the sound of keeping it to a low budget, I've never heard one in the flesh so to speak but...I don't know, it sounds a little bit of a bodge job? Or honestly is this the best way to get more volume out of our 6 cylinders? Doesn't seem to be many exhaust manufacturers that make exhaust systems for our cars?

I'll be getting mine put back on soon, I removed it because I thought It was causing me to lose a lot of power but it turns out I lost even more when I removed it back to standard  (it was my disa valve broken shut)

He's a video if it works

CSL airbox - supersprint race back box, job done. All the noise you'll ever need :D

Sure there may be cheaper methods to increase things though should you not want to go all the way down that hole;)

Edit sorry realised that's meant for the 3.0.

Ignore all that, though I'm sure supersprint will do a nice box for the 3.0, nice product. Eisemann also popular as I'm sure you know.
You could de-cat, but then you have mot issues.

Oh really? I never thought about an Airbox...not fitted an induction kit to a car since I owned a Honda Civic many moons ago!

I must confess I once did an airbox mod to an Honda S2000 I owned which involved simply removing the airbox lid! I think I have more mechanical sympathy these days though!

It does...well I presume it does...its got the pipe that I think is the noise generator, keep meaning to go out there with a screwdriver and remove the foam from it...I know this sounds a bit...umm  of me but I kinda want to make more noise outside of the cabin, not just inside it!
