More modern wiper arms

Cracking Job

you must be the first person who has ever had to get a welder out, to fit new wipers on his car

Not done it yet - just slotted some normal OEM's on.
Worrying that I would even think about doing it

Sure - just doing it for the fun of it, if I do.

Interesting to note that even the new Z4 has traditional wipers while every other car I looked at through the range had flat blades. Must be related to the scren curvature that has been mentioned before as an issue.

Only just reading this as Ive been away, Ive got the Bosch retro fit flat blades and they look alot cleaner than the photo you posted cj. I can get a photo if anyones still interested...

I'd be interested to see how they fit

Not had time to wash it...

Thanks gannet. they are better than the original versions.

Interestingly I realised just how good genuine OEM are, in doing the job if not looks, today in a huge downpour they worked perfectly. No smears, misses around the tax disc, etc.

It might look bad but I hardly notice now.

Wiping performance is the best Ive ever experienced though. No smears, quiet and efficient :D

Who looks through the tax disc anyhow :?

The miss with the Bosch Aero ones is literally for the first 5cm of travel behind the tax disc. As soon as they get onto the screen proper they are in full solid contact and do a great job imho.

Also pretty cheap and the connecting block doesn't look so bad. The newer arms do look better though, so if there is an easy fit new part to swap over I'd be all for that, because if we can make it look better why not ;)

Just need to wait on CJ now :D

I've been sidetracked - spraying in the ///M rear cans in at the weekend and have a new white spot rear to fit. Sourced my silvered red fog bulb, so just awaiting postie in the morning :)
