More bluetooth

I've got a problem with my bluetooth, it works well enough if I dial from the phone. However, if I scan through the phone's directory after a short while the connection is lost and the head unit claims there is no phone. 30 seconds or so later the phone is back and connected.

So it all works, except for the problem that I can't dial. So I guess it doesn't really work at all

Try removing all pairings from car and re-pair and you could try doing the same at phone end if car doesn't work
Has been known to fix all sorts of problems
