Moorhen update

Evening... took a sample stool to a specialist... said first you’re blessed he chose your house, they’re protected so you can’t poison them (I wouldn’t anyway) & they’re one of the cleverest predictors on the planet.

So, Stalag Luft III has been heavily upgraded, anyone want to name him/her?

Seeing as you have an uninvited guest, you could always name him/her after something else you don't want - how about Diesel?

I have 1.5 other alleged planet killers in the household, so that’s a no there .... where the only thing I don’t want is my ex wife Michelle... & despite it upsetting me eating the insulation not quite in the same league :violent1:

Could be worse I suppose - I had a rat in my loft a few years ago!

Now I understand how the expression "I smell a rat" came about - when you open the loft hatch and there is a dead one up there you'll definitely smell it. :sick2:

Well current defences are being tested

- can see the patter of little feet where I left the copper-slip & friendly pls don’t come this way wire ;@)

- All holes I can find are wired & secured with expanding foam

- 2x electronic anti-weasel gizmos installed, crossbow I made @ school just for decoration

However, ‘Pops’ is too friendly (+ reminds me of the last Terminator film that I thought was quite good) where the local name currently way ahead at the top of the list is ‘F’in little B’stard’

Yes, the Latin name is ‘scaretheshitoutofyouobia’

The common name is ‘If you think you’re hard enough you girl’. Or EVIL for short.

We used to get spikey visitors at our previous place but still waiting to see any here, sadly these guys are getting thin on the ground these days :(

And you only get to see them if you get there before the crows do.

Time to revive this thread me thinks.

Not sure if counts as a contribution though this fly decided to impale itself on one of our cactus’
