Montego Blue BMW Z4 Coupe (Darth)

Good afternoon,

I’ve owned the car for just over a month now and I thought it would be rude if I left it much longer before introducing myself. It’s a Montego Blue Coupe (Manual) and ticked over to 40,000 miles last Wednesday. I know it’s traditional to call cars ‘she’ but this one is actually a ‘he’ as the previous owner left a Darth Vader Lego man inside the passenger door and the name ‘Darth’ has stuck ever since. My previous car was a red Citroen C1 (fantastic first car) and I thought I’d upgrade slightly to celebrate turning 20 in July. In the last month I would say that I have waved/flashed roughly 6 other Z4’s and I’ve had the grand total of one nod back. If I see your Z4 in a car park, I will park next to you and I will take a picture. As this thread would be ‘worthless without pics’ I’ve included a few of my favourites below.

Oh, I'm definely stalking other Zed's :wink: but it wasn't a meet up or anything like that. I was at the cinema watching Guardians of the Galaxy and I couldn't believe my eyes. I had only owned the car about a week at that point and I really wasn't expecting to bump into another Montego Blue Coupe quite so soon!

Thank you, I have it cleaned every week so it never looks to shabby. It was either this or a Fiesta ST-2 and I'm glad I went for this now. This was considerably cheaper and I don't think a Fiesta would turn heads in quite the same way!

Thanks, I'm glad to be a member of such an exclusive club! The roadsters look great and I'm sure having the roof down is fantastic in summer but the lines of the Coupe are just something else.

I was very lucky and managed to get a very good apprenticeship just after I turned 18, I didn't go to Uni and I don't have kids so 2 years later I'm still there and in a very fortunate position!

Hello mate, like the way you park near other Zeds and take a pic
Ive seen 2 in 5 days which included 4 motor ways and 600 miles, and when i do see a Zed its 99% either sterling grey or black E85's, i thought Titan silver was popular as ive like seen 2 this year and both E85's which im happy with BTW

Thanks, I like to think people are less likely to bash your door when they also drive a Zed and it also gives the owner a surprise when they return and see another one parked next to them. In the last two weeks every Zed I've spotted has been either Silver, Grey or Black!
