Monkey exhaust tips

Ok guys I am very sorry but a few things have happened recently. And with prices going up and the one for all size thing not working. I am going to have to put the price up. Just trying to go back to the old £45 or £40.

I don't want to rip you off. But it's a lot of work in my weekends and evenings for not as much reward as I would like. Let me know what you think honestly?

Monkey

Received my MM tips this morning for my X3. Top quality work and I think they look great. On a different car to a Z4 also:

You're not running a charity :)

If £45 makes it worth your time then that's the price. The market will dictate demand etc.

Plus, at the rate these are going out you risked market saturation! :poke:

Mine arrived this morning - and they are on (no pics yet as my car is undergoing a process of being sorted). I just need to look at the various pics in this thread to see how other have staggered them. Excellent work! Thank you.

For sale a slightly damaged (on the fitting end) The bit you see looks perfect. Set of tips for a 3.0l pre face lift car £30 delivered.

My tips arrived the other day going to fit them later on today.

Was just wondering what your thoughts are on burnt tips? You knowntips with the blue finish on the end. I wonder if others think they look cool?

Google burnt exhaust tip if you don't know what i'm talking about. May be a market for them monkey i know i would of paid a fiver extra for burnt tips.

Looked at a youtube video where some guy does them on a cooker. Unfortunately your tips are too small to diy without a vice and a torch.

One of my tips is about 1cm longer than the other. Maybe 0.5cm.

Is there a set way they should be installed? The longer one on the left or right?

I've managed to get the old tips off. 1 came off straight away. The other has taken me a day of lubing it, wd40, hammering from the back, etc.

When I finally got it off it had a stone stuck in between the tip and the exhaust quite a big one at that too. Also lots of debris in there. No wonder it wouldn't come off. The screw was also extremely stiff. Wd40 several times as well as hammer to loosen it up.

Anyway best way to install the new ones? Longer on the right or left?

Depends which model you are on about, mine were slightly different lengths and are staggered nicely. I could reduce the stagger but like them as I have set them.

Suggest you take a look through the photos posted here or add some more info.to get more opinion, feedback.

pre face lift 3 litre

I want them to look aggressive more than passive.

I think longer on the left and smaller on the right. As you can see more of the left one
