Monkey exhaust tips

Matt - what's the difference between a set made for a specific car and a one size fits all pair? Other than £8 obviously....

Just the construction method really. The one for all are easier to make. I do actually make them slightly different sizes depending on the car. But to ones to fit each model have a fitting ring made for the car that's welded on. Rather than the fitting ring being close then screw holding it.

To be honest if it where my money i would go for the £37 ones. Just as good really but easier to make so cheaper.

Hi Matt, I cut the original tips back and fitted your one size fits all which will get welded on soon.Paul has posted a photo in his 4 Musketeers run report of them and they do look good.PS the screws never came loose after a 130 mile thrash.Cheers.

Cool glad you like them  I will try and take a look at the pictures latter.
I haven't hear of anyone having problems with the screws. As long as they are done up tight. And possibly a bit of lock-tight on them i dont see a reason for them to come lose.

Any way I am very glad you seem happy with them

If anyone wants any tips say now. I would rather have orders for 2-3 sets before ordering more material.

They are £37 for the one size fits all type.
Or £45 for them made specifically to fit your car.
If this is going ahead I'll have a set for my 3.0si

Hi Monkey,

I'd like a set of the one size fits all for my 2009 E89 3.0
Please let me know how you want paying.

Cheers
Nick.

Hi Nick

I haven't really done many for the e89! I am very guppy to do them for you. And I suspect that the one tip fits all tip that I do will work. But you might want to just check the pipe diameter with the tip off. If you can let me know the size I can get them done before Christmas.

I have material for 2 sets left. If I get orders by the end of this week I will have them to you for Christmas.

I won't be making anymore until the new year. I have lots on over the holidays with building a mates car. And then hopefully mine as well.

As soon as this rain stops I'll check. No problem waiting for the new year if it comes to it.
Cheers.

Ok no problem i wouldn't mind doing the last 2 sets before Christmas. But i wont be ordering more material until the new year. It might be middle - end of January depending on how the car builds go. We have to get both cars ready for the 18th of February and there is lots to do.

I could be interested in a set. Can you just remind me what the spec is please as there seem to be a lot of different options size, fitment, chrome, polished etc (or even better, point me at a picture on this thread?). Mine is a 3.0si Coupe.

Cheers

Hi there MD01

I am kind of doing a 1 fits all at the moment. They would be perfect for a coupe fitment wise. They will slid on once the old tips are removed and held in place bu 2 bolts on each tip. They are polished out side and brushed in side. Good news they cost £37 delivered and if i get payment before the weekend i can do them Sunday afternoon and posted Monday.

PM if interested.

My tips arrived yesterday and I fit them this morning. Such a simple mod but it really makes a difference to the back end of the car. Big thanks to MM, another happy customer.
