MOndial Warranty - Pleasantly surprised

After 3 weeks of ownsership with my Z4 coupe, I have decided to go for the Mondial Comprehensive warranty.

I have 3 months of warranty from the Seat garage I bought it from, however the maximum claim is pretty low and I dont want to have to travel 70 miles to the garage each time.

I was pleasantly surprised that the comprehensive warranty with £100 excess was only £39 a month (08 plate coupe with 42K miles). Was tempted to drop to the named component (£33 a month) but for the sake of £6 it is better to have almost everything covered.

My only concern is the past service history, It has full BMW history with stamped book however I think the previous owner followed the onboard computer and not the time, as a result the second service was 2 years and three months after the one before :cry: so am slightly worried that this could cause problems if they look into it... if so I may as well cancel now and get my money back.

What do people think?
 
You should be fine. As its BMW and you put the VIN in as part of the process I'm fairly sure they check it. They're very easy to deal with if you claim too. The dealer handled it all for me

I kind of dont want to draw any attention to it... and just hope that the FMBSH on record will suffice, if you know what I mean. But that may be the best thing to do... I'm sure I could argue that the additional 3 months would hardly make much of a difference?

Took me ages to decide on getting the warranty... money is tight at the moment as I am about to buy a house, however I thought £40 a month is a small price to pay for the security of not having any massive bills suddenly landing on my doorstep. (I experienced this last year when the Turbo blew on my VW TDI, taking out hoses, the intercooler and the cat on the way!).
 
Is that without breakdown cover?

I have just taken a policy out on my 09 Coupe and its was just over £500.
 
Thats without emergency services as I have full AA cover with my bank account.

Going to wait to see what all of the confirmation pack/ documentation says before I email Mondial to highlight the issue... I really hope its not a problem as the peice of mind would be a nice thing to have!
 
Just rang Mondial as a potential customer and posed the question.

They simply said that I need to take it to a BMW dealer and get them to confirm that it meets the service requirements.

I'm guessing they will come back with a big fat no? unless anyone knows of a freindly main dealer in Staffordshire or Derby?

Trying to get hold of the garage that serviced it as when I bought the car it had to be stamped for a 2010 service that was carried out but not in the book. Just want to check that the dates are correct and also whether they can confirm that it meets the service requirements.

Annoyed, I should have spotted this slight hitch before I took the warranty out. :headbang:
