(with Novaa/Astra/Cavalier,Calibra Gte's,Gsi's,Sri,Turbos etc)
But just not appreciated enough

Yes,the Lotus Carlton was an epic machine launched in the early 90s,at a price of £48k at the time,if I remember correctly...alot of cash back then, and still now.
Had a poster of it up on my bedroom door, in its lovely lotus British racing green.(Imperial green officially known as).

I met a guy who owned one,a year after they came out,up at Knockhill,though he wasn't overly friendly, and didn't want anyone anywhere near it...
Just wanted to brag about it and show it off room a distance I guess

It was nice. Got a closer look at one at a Motorshow launch anyway, the year before, so wasn't too bothered.
Would still love to own one for my Lottery win car museum

Buzy, I test drove one @ £18,995 from a run of the mill car dealer in the later 90’s couldn’t decide if it was right for Argyll roads and I think the insurance was bananas also just because of the sheer power so made the very intelligent decision to purchase an early Calibra 4x4 turbo, which I loved but what a missed opportunity to own a Lotus Carlton

Missed a Honda NSX once. One came up at a local run of the mill dealers for sub £20k if I recall correctly. Just before they went mental. Never the car for me though, but I did take a good look at it and considered a purchase for a few days. Would have been fun for the bank manager, but it's open top fun for me on Sundays while I'm young enough to stand the battering.
