Nah love it or loathe it F1 has pushed car development forward a lot

One thing I would LOVE to see is a full fat F1 without inferior tyres and with all the aero and engine technology like ground effect, oil injection etc, could probably get round the tracks several seconds quicker than current F1 cars

That would just be a time trial though. Absolutely no hope of any overtaking if you go for the fastest car possible.

Interesting comparison through the years, no wonder todays cars struggle at Monaco :?



Would be great if todays cars were scaled down or even better make replicas of the cars from the early 60s especially for Monaco, would then be interesting to see how much driver skills come into play.

A good drive out in your Z4 with a pleasant leisurely 20 mile walk up a mountain some wear in the mix.

Thats brilliant, Ive never seen that before and it does a brilliant job of demonstrating just how much bigger the cars are now, fantastic

Only reason it got me thinking was from the video I posted earlier with the guys sitting in the 1962 cars and just how small the cars were back then, almost toy like in size sounded better too

In the last 30 years f1 cars have gotten longer, but not much wider in my eyes.
