During my ownership I have maintained the car fully, done all the jobs that were required and driven just 3k miles in the past 11 months.
The car comes complete with a combination of main dealer and independent service history - most recently by my trusted indy, ETA Motorsport in West Kingsdown.
Service history before I bought it showed it being SORN for nearly two years, so me being a bit belt-and-braces, gave it another oil service and full health check carried out. ETA also replaced a faulty O2 sensor and in the following few months I added new ATE discs and Textar pads (Jan21) with Goodyear Asymmetric Eagle F1 tyres on each corner (Feb21).
The car has been very well cared for and is in good condition for its age, with the usual stone chips and minor blemishes typical for 15 year old car. The Monaco Blue paintwork really sings; switching from blue, to black to almost deep purple depending on the right light.
She has been undercover, garaged and being my non-family ‘fun’ car, has only ever been used on the brightest and sunniest of days on runs back to Suffolk and most recently last Friday to the Goodwood Revival.
The interior is a lovely light place to be, with supple beige Oregon leather, brushed aluminium dash and anthracite roof lining. I’ve fixed up all the small annoying jobs that needed doing when I bought this car last year: bought and installed a new centre console door, replacing a couple of missing transmission tunnel tabs, adding new foot mats and updating the sat-nav firmware.
Other replacement parts include the rear hatch cover from beige to black (I still have the beige one if required), the rear hatch boot struts where changed for new SGS units back in January, and a faulty passenger side headlamp washer pump was replaced with a brand new one.
The M-Sport seats are in lovely condition and only lightly scuffed in the drivers bolster. They also benefit from being electric, heated and with memory function. This past summer I also recharged the air-con which is now ice-cold.
The M-Sport multi-function steering wheel is clean and in good condition. The car has the non-DSP HiFi audio and phone setup with handsfree calls and phonebook via the nav screen. I’ve also added the BluMusic module too: a plug-and-play module that enables you to stream music from your phone seamlessly, controlled via the steering wheel. With the factory Hifi Loudspeaker system it all sounds very impressive.
The car is completely standard aside from a couple of aesthetic things. Mid-summer I fitted brand a set of new and still unblemished 18” matte bronze Bola B1 wheels (June 2020). These are 18 inch x 8.5”square setup and machine offset to order without spacers, so they fill the arches perfectly.
I do still have the original MV2 wheels which I was going to use as winter wheels, so can price the car with or without the Bola wheels; whichever is preferred. To accompany the blue of the car and the wheel colour I also swapped the side reflectors and indicators from clear to orange (purchased from the US) which I think looks incredible. The originals I still have if they are preferred.
The engine is super sweet, starts on the button, ticks over beautifully and pulls strongly, with no leaks, gasps, erroneous noises or warning lights on the dash.
I will be replacing the Storm Motorwerks gear shifter and handbrake handle back to the original OEM parts are they were gifts.
Private plate is not included and the car will revert back to its standard registration: WR56 CYS.
I really hope to find this car a good home and that the next owner will love and enjoy the car as much as I have. As an owner of a few Zeds over the years I wanted to find a good one and I did. If you’re looking for a manual coupe thats pretty rare in the colour combo stakes on relatively low miles, thats ready to go, then it could be the one for you.
Finally, I’ve priced the car correct for mileage, condition, AT/eBay, general market conditions etc, so hopefully I’m not offending anybody as I know there can be some strong options on here!
