Moisture in fogs again

Had this fixed once under warranty but that was over 2 years ago so can't imagine they will again

Any way to fix it permanently?
 
I've said it before, c**p design/manufacturing issue. Not fit for purpose. Too many of these rectangular fogs have failed. :cry:
 
Join the club, new ones 1.5 years ago and fogging again!!! I can't believe BMW haven't fixed this by now with a new design or no 3rd party has created a better quality item.
 
I always understood that the original fogs were made by a supplier based in Mexico and I'm surprised that even replacement ones have continued to fail in the same manner. I've yet to see a facelift Zed that hasn't got misted up fogs.
 
Mine are misty too - I thought it might be due to the valeting but it's been sitting in my (warm) garage for a few days but it's still there! :headbang:
 
It wouldn't be so bad if they were sensibly priced, say £30-£35, but at around the £100 mark I'm afraid the NS one I have that is misted up will have to stay that way.

The misted one is original to the car (2006), but the good one is dated 2009 presumably replaced under warranty at some point, both are made by AL in Mexico.

So are we saying the later Bosch ones are prone to misting too?

Has anyone purchased one from ECP, are they pattern parts or OEM?

I drilled three small holes in the bottom of my duff one in the hope that having dried it out in the airing cupboard that the misting wouldn't return - no such luck! :evil:
 
When I got my last ones I asked the parts guy to check to see when they moved from AL to Bosch and was told that AL is Bosch? I didn't look into it anymore but if they are different the later version is just as poor quality as the originals!
