Moffat/Selkirk meet,SUNDAY 13th SEPTEMBER,2020. NEW DATE

Was supposed to be in Cape Town on this date but since it’s cancelled I’ll come along.

Will probably be down there on the bike on that date. (stomping ground for me down that way)

Might pop over and say hi if you guys are around if you dont mind a grown man in a onsie

Just so you know.

The A701 heading north from Moffat has just been relayed, and as usual for the stretches of road in that area they have just layed the tar and scattered the small chippings on top for traffic to bed in.

Not sure what the road from Moffat to Selkirk is like but it certainly made for some bum clenching moments on Friday when I was on my way down to Moffat on the bike.

Cheers for the heads up...
Hopefully it will be dispersed by our run, though still to look at what roads I'm doing. Done it a few times, without really changing it,as the Moffat/Selkirk road, etc are great to drive, but might do some different ones,as you will probably know, there's plenty to choose from :driving:

Yeah,I would think it would be sketchy on abike, always hated it when on a bike on chippings, feels like the bike always wants to go away from under you, doesn't it? Even with good tyres, chippings are a nightmare, lol.

Yea the bike was weaving a fair bit and at one point drifting me towards the edge of the road.

Ping up your rough route and I'll see if I can recommend any other possible routes around your trip. As said I'm down that area almost every other weekend.

Hi Craig.
I'd have liked to have attended this as it's on my front door so to speak. Unfortunately, we are on hols up north at the same time. Hopefully catch you on the next one.
