Modyfing the headlights - Silver hockey and UK->EU

Hi there,

my EU Z4 apparently at some point in time was fitted with the EU headlights. That's not great.
Also they stared to fog like mad, so this also needs to be addressed.

So at this point this sounds like I'm going to open them. I think some people were doing that before me... but I can't find the posts/manuals.
So anyways - is converting UK->EU something I can do myself maybe? I've heard rumors this shouldn't be that hard.

And lastly... the dreaded yellow indicator.
Getting a silver post-lift headlights is nearly impossible or they are unreasonably expensive for a 20+ year old car.

I thought maybe... tinting the hockey might do something to reduce the yellowness. Any opinions on that?

My bad.

I have EU Z4 (from Italy to be exact) that was crashed at some point and fixed on UK parts.
My headlights are UK and I'm driving on Polish roads.
Passing the MOT is tricky.

So my question is - is converting my headlights UK->EU something DYI?
 
Not sure if there is a lever to change the light pattern to LHD (some BMW’s have that). But you can replace the projectors with more modern ones and LHD at the same time. There is a DIY on the forum.
 
As a quick fix, you can change the internal beam pattern so it doesn't dazzle drivers on the opposite side of the road. This is a little metal lever on the projector. One either side actually, just flip this to change the beam. Obviously you will have to do both headlights.

Alternatively you will have to source new (or used) projectors to swap into the headlight.

You can't convert the headlights this way.
You can only set it to the neutral setting so you won't blind the oncoming drivers.
