I'll be bringing my car out of hibernation early march. It will have a full service and MOT within the first couple of weeks and assuming no budget blowing mot disasters (which there wont be). Ive got an ever growing list of things id like to change on my car. Which include

1. Fitting a big strut brace
2. New back box either aftermarket or a DLV one
3. Clean and silver paint brake calipers
4. Royals steering wheel retrim
5. Shocks and springs upgrade - (nowt wrong with what i have but must be past its best at 15yrs old.)
6. Potentially a new set of wheels or the very minimum I'd like to try a set of...
7. 10mm spacers all round.

1,2 and 3 are dead certs. I doubt 5 and 6 will happen but would be happy if i manage to afford one of them.

What have you got planned for next year?

just driving the thing! bought mine in November odd, haven't really driven it much with the weather of late. but it was never going to be a winter driver - trackdays and dry bright weekends will be its main use.

All mods for trackdays are already done - namely brake pads, fresh brake fluid and tyres. so yep, just driving it now!

After spending 14 months modding mine and not being able to use it!! If i ever get it finished just driving it for a while.

Good list of mods OP

325mm front brake upgrade (all bits already sourced)
Poss msport seats fitted
Royal wheels upgrade
Vanos seal repair

Tempted by a new set of wheels and a spoiler....

Plus fitting all the mods i bought this year!!

Just a backbox mod for me, although it's been on the list since June!

Got bushes and drop links to sort at the back, as well as new diff oil and coolant to do before the fun mods can start. I've been burned in the past diving into mods before doing proper service items so this car is the opposite.

Carpet the plastic shelf under the hood. Sounds cheap and rattly at the moment, and put some sound pads in the passenger door.
Gearbox oil change when service is due.
New gear knob
See if I can get the multidisc CD player to work, but not too bothered about it.
DRIVE IT!

Wheels refurbed
Calipers painted
Disk hubs painted
May get the sills re-sprayed(as they have road rash)
Still seriously thinking about getting the bearing shells replaced (as now on 112k miles)

Maybe.......

Get bonnet and front bumper resprayed.
Rear spoiler.
Gear knob

Definitely......

Get out and drive it more!
Organise another successful Z4 only Saturday Ace Cafe London meet

I am hoping to do the following iin 2018:-
Royals steering wheel retrim
Add front strut brace
Add dynomat to doors
Get the recently acquired E46 330 brake calipers refurbished prior to front brake upgrade

And try not to let the forum temp me into any other mods until 2019........

New paint for mine. (Complete respray)
New wheels.
Bushes all round.
Rear shockers.

Love driving it but looking tired now on the outside so time to freshen it up.

Most things have been replaced on mine due to the accident, or have worn out & been replaced due to high mileage/old age.

But, hopefully, I'll finally get around to having my Alcons fitted, and some minor paintwork done (including that pesky dent on the bonnet). I'll also get the car machine polished before I fit my Skyer carbon spoiler.

I still want to put proper bucket seats in the car, but it's a lot of money for not a lot of use (e.g. max of 3 track days and 3 Ring trips a year), and whilst I could get away with a seat just for the driver, I think it would look naff - so a relatively cheap set of alcantara & leather Pole Positions need to be found.

Wouldn't mind a scorpion exhaust, :D repaint my rear bumper, set of aero side skirts would be nice. That's my spend budget for the year gone :(

Good list OP!

Mine is:

- fit the carbon fibre skirt extensions from the group buy as I still haven’t fitted them!

- have my csl reps that I bought last year refurbed as the paint Finnish isn’t 100% spot on.

- new headunit. I want a Bluetooth DAB. Might have some door speakers fitted whilst I’m at it.

- gear box and diff fluid refresh. I’m on 36000 now so want to do it whilst I’m ahead. Will do coolant too.

- Not sure about this one but tinting the side and rear glass. Main reason I’m not sure is when the roof is down but windows up it will look a bit funky

- carbon wrap the roll hoops. I think from the rear the car will look lower and a bit sleeker.

- black wrap lower part of front bumper - mainly to hide a tiny little bit of bubbling paint by the lower mesh until I’m ready for a front end spray. I don’t have enough stone chips to justify this yet.

- possibly a decent back box out on. Need to test my delete to see if I’m still within track day limits.

January - May
Brake Discs, Brake Pads, Brake Sensors. Already arrived after the Black Friday Sales.

Stone Chips being sorted on the front.
Suspension refresh. Shockers, Springs etc.
Bushes will be looked at and any original bushes still on the car replaced.
