As for the badges - easy to do all of them, the indicator ones need separated from the adhesive tape with a sharp thin knife, the boot is just pins in rubber grommets, and the bonnet has 'self tapping' screws on the lugs on the back that you get to by taking the grilles off.

Maybe change the front grilles to matte black if you are changing the badges ?

Also, email [email protected] and ask him for his brochures. Badges, wheel caps, gear knobs and loads of other things in them to suck up your cash :wink:

Yeah mine are 108's five spoke, think on getting them returned to make the spokes black, found a few pics online and like the look.

Anyone done 'how to' with the indicators, showing pictures?
 
Speak to leon on here about wheels - he'll swap your old set for a refurbed set in a range of colours for about £350. If I get a chance I'll look out his thread.

As for indicator badges, I don't think there is a how-to, but it is really straightforward. To get the whole indicator unit off just grasp it and twist it very firmly anti-clockwise to unclip it, then pull out and separate from the bulb which is just another twist clip. Then take a sharp thin craft or Stanley blade and carefully cut the adhesive tape between the badge and the indicator housing, clean all the adhesive tape off, put new 3M double-sided tape on, cut to shape (I used a dab of silicone adhesive in the middle too) and stick the new badge on. Just make sure you get it the right way up and straight.

OEM badges have the adhesive on them, as well as locator holes - aftermarket ones (like c/f) do not, so the former are less hassle to fit. Ian Clifton will sell you OEM-like aftermarket badges, but the are more expensive - about £25 vs £13 IIRC.
 
I was going to warn you about those BMW valve caps, but it seems like you've already used them previously and so probably already aware.

I bought a used set of M wheels which came with them on, when I tried to unscrew them I just couldn't get them to budge and so left it to my dealer the next time I took it in for a service and they had the same issue and had to simply replace the valves. Think they rust over time and then become stuck to the valve.

Told about this when I did them on the TT, small dab of grease helps (make sure they are tightly done up) and check them when you clean your wheels by untwisting seems to stop this happening.
