Alright,

I'm just wondering.......

If I was to add a z4m rear bumper, Quad pipes, CSL rims to my 3.0 coupe, would that been seen to detract from the value of the car come resale time? With it not being factory fitted, even if it's all genuine BMW parts?

Do you think it would lower the value or put people off buying?

Wondering if Ill need to keep standard parts etc.

They wouldn't necessarily add the full cost of mods to the value of the car but should add appeal to future buyers , certainly from a forum sale perspective
Do it for yourself if you want to but whether you sell with or without i doubt you would recoup the full spend
 
If the quality of the work is very good it should help sell the car but wouldn't add a lot to value. The one down side is declaring mods to insurers may put some off buying. As Andy says, do it for yourself. I'm looking at spoilers and splitters for an e89 atm, doing it for fun with no thought of resale.
 
The mods you are suggesting could help sell your coupe; buyers are often looking for something a little different from the norm - a quad conversion would certainly grab my attention. But do the mods for yourself, not with a view to increasing the sales potential, providing the work is to a high standard and the mods are tasteful you won't lose out.

Dont think it would reduce the value but depending on the buyer, some will want a standard car so might limit your audience.
 
In a sea of standard cars for sale, yours would most certainly stand out.

When I was looking for mine, I was attracted to the one I bought due to the ///M front bumper, sport MFSW and ZHP. It made it stand out a little compared to the other standard Z4's for sale.

Could always sell the bits separately if you were to sell the car. Those parts will always be easy to shift as they're always wanted.
