So...when I bought my Z4, i read alot of posts on here about modding obsessions and thought 'I like mine the way it is, i don't see the point in modifying my z4'.

 well two and a bit years later....here's a list of things ive had done that i thought i'd share, kinda like how everyone has a different take on their cars. We're all different!

LED Number Plate Lights
Carbon Fibre Spoiler
Metal Private Number Plates
Carbon Fibre Splitters (now on my second pair, first set got vandalised by some @)(*)@(£*@)£(*!!!!)
Carbon Fibre Kidney Grilles
Carbon Fibre Handbrake Handle
Carbon Fibre Auto Gear Knob
LED Interior Lighting
Sound Generator Mod
CS Reps
Goodyear Eagle F1 AS2 (NON RUNFLAT!!! )
EBC Turbo Groove Brake Discs
EBC Yellowstuff Pads
New Brake Sensors
Castrol SRF Brake Fluid
Goodridge Electric Blue Braided Lines
Gun Metal Painted Calipers
Bosch Aero Wipers
New Gearbox Sump Gasket (old one was leaking)
Rocker Cover Gasket
Evans Waterless Engine Coolant
Stainless Steel Pedal Covers
Fire Extinguisher in passengers footwell
Alot of Bilberry wheel cleaner
Some dodo juice once a month
Relentless amounts of MER product
A very stubby stubby

Next on the list:
AFE CAI
ACS Strut Brace
Carbon Fibre Wing Mirrors
Alpine Type R Speakers
Aero Skirts
Bilstein B12 Pro Kit
Carbon fibre engine cover
Window tints

Any ideas, throw them my way!

Nice touches. Would be good to see the splitters from a different angle. I'm liking the plates, I've got the same pressed plates - they're actually a lot more reflective than the plates that came off the car! Are you not tempted to get BMW roundels for the alloys?

I only have this as a different angle for the splitters (old plates on though lol). The new ones are excellent for reflectiveness like you said, and feel a bit oldschool which i like,

For the bmw wheel caps, theyre 68mm i think, and i couldnt actually at the time find ones that were real or looked authentic, so i stuck to the ones that came with the wheels

the first pair came from a friend of a friend who had an E46 M3. They are actually ACS M3 Style Splitters. I bought them at a punt and found they looked excellent, but someone decided to break one in half in a car park in southampton (nightmare, i dont understanded why or howthey did it, felt sick when i saw it).

Couldn't find any more anywhere in the UK or Europe, so found some in the states and imported them for 150 quid in total including import duty. The original set were 2x2 weave, but the new ones are 1x1 which is a slightly more oldschool racing look, you tend to see 1x1 on older le mans cars etc.

How much better does the Zed look compared to the Ferrari! Says it all really. Also those Ferrari wheels look small.

nice Zed btw.

Cheers, going to do a polish and wax with poorboys stuff tomorrow in the garage.

Funnily enough that Ferrari landed me on the front page of the daily fail's website a few years ago...something about speeding through a tunnel....

I would stick with the stock air filter as your going to lose power only to gain some extra induction noise? Especially in the summer when your car is sucking In lots of hot air.

Not to forget they are oiled too and can mess up the maff. I had a k&n on a car once and performance dropped and my maff had oil on it and had to be all cleaned properly. Never will I ever own another aftermarket air filter

See id read about this, but a number of peeps have claimed the dry option poses no issues to the maf, plus They come with a heat shield, so hopefully heat soak shouldn't be an issue. Are the power loss issues actually documented? as they don't tend to work on standing dynos?

I wouldn't worry, I think he's thinking of the crappy open cone type induction kits you get on jap cars and the like. Lots of people have had the AFE with no problems, it's a proper sealed kit. I wouldn't expect any power gains as such though.

I definitely recommend the strut brace and air filter. Those are the 2 most recent mods i done on mine after getting great deals from this site.

Cosmo racing Strut brace and simota carbon fibre air intake. Not only do they look great, they also allow the car to perform better.

Just seen the ones you are on about and they look good. Like the way it's in a box but has the heatshield on top too. I think you have got me thinking about one now. I think I would go for the dry one.

@ the simota guy, why do they preform better than the orginal airbox ? i don't seem how that is, only benifit you gain is the sound. the stutbrace is an other story, that will improve your car

and to be honest i don't like the spliter on your frontbumper. it's just not the right shape to match whit your bumper.
