Forum member StigJ gave me the idea for mud flaps, so I bought them and now they are fitted:

Thanks mcbee! They were fitted in 58 minutes (I took the time and the pictures. My friends hands and fingers  ).

I love them too, I was considering adding them to mine too; would you be able to take some read facing side profile shots from further away?

I posted a few pics of mine a long time ago (search mudflaps), they are on a white E89 and stand out a lot more than on the black, I think they are very sharp looking on the Black

I got mine for the E89 at BMW, they came with instructions for the E85/86 model so I know they are available. Not too expensive either...in Az, not Canada.

I take pictures as soon as I can.

Mud flaps are a bit of a Marmite thing but I like them and they help to prevent gravel rash on the side skirts.
Very easy to fit yourself.

I think it makes the car look lower with flaps; always a good thing! I was hoping to do the same after seeing stigl s post but my car is black too and the effect is a little lost with black on black from what I see in the photos.

Just noticed this post regarding mudflaps, can anyone tell me if the centre plastic push fittings goes all the way in so that its flush or do you have to cut the end off.........Finding it really tough to push the centre fully in :?

Are the mudflaps made from rubber or this is a material that could be painted to match the colour of the car

I was worried they would look a bit rubbish when I fitted mine, but I think they are quite nicely designed and I don't even give them a second thought. I bought them as I was getting gravel rash on my skirts, luckily it polished out and the flaps seem to be keeping them good.
