How is the bracket fixed?

if u mean mine, i chopped the sucker off the end, stuck it into a rubber science bung and stuck that in the cigar lighter. No rattles, out of the way, convenient.

Good question.

I usually take it out of my jacket and put it in the compartment under the headlight control. Real genius place as I can fit my wallet too!

Not bad, got my sunglasses in their though, but its probably the best place.

Anywhere,it doesn't matter with bluetooth does it.

Want somewhere secure so it doesn't slide all over the place. Bluetooth yes, but this is an iPhone, and needs to remain scratch free!

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note probably the biggest phone on the market right now and I had this exact problem in my E86. In addition my work iphone 42 didnt have anywhere to live either as I keep the garage remote in the small cubby whole in the rear of the transmission tunnel.

However I bought a cheap car PDA / nav holder and the note now sits nicely to the right of my steering wheel just above the DHS vents.

My iphone 4s sits under the handbrake lever.

Not sure if the the latter is applicable to the E89 but I hope it helps!

I'm having a problem finding somewhere to put my galaxy note2...I bought a cheap phone holder but found it doesn't suck to the windscreen inbetween the steering wheel and the A post (window too curved?) and I've got a factory nav so I can't have it stuck to centre of my windscreen. Have you got a pic where you've got yours?

Will certainly take one for you, although mine is an E86 so as you say may not be the same windscreen curvature..

Ah that science bung-did you have to trim it to fit?

Nope, I measured the size of the cigar lighter and ordered one of eBay to fit. It was snug so I used soapy water to push it in (id taken it out of my car to do this) and then dried with a hair dryer.

Here we go .. apologies for the delay and poor quality pics, taken on my iphone in the garage at night!:

Thanks for the pics! That's where I'd want mine and I've come to the conclusion that it's my crap phone holder that won't stick to the windscreen as it won't stick to the MINIs windscreen either when everything else does! What phone holder have you got?
