I'm due an upgrade and stumped as to which phone to go for ......( no iPhones ) HTC1, Nexus,Samsung Galaxy 3 or 4 or......Sony Experia Z ?.....Wildcard Nokia Lumina 920.

Any thoughts? ( I fancy the Experia) :?

I fancy a galaxy s4 myself!

Depends how much of a geek you are and would use its features?

I have an iPhone and love it, my wife has just got a Samsung Galaxy and I'm very impressed, if it ever comes to move away from Apple, then I would be seriously tempted

Sorry, it's an S3

I'm due for another phone in July and was thinking of makin a change to iPhone from my Galaxy? :?

Im in the process of selecting my new phone choice is from the following:

Galaxy S4, Sony Z and the brand new HTC One.

Initial reviews put the HTC One ahead of the Sony Z, so first cut is done now looking between S4 and HTC One. S4 looking very much like the S3 and therefore a small tablet, and maybe a little large for me, so..... looks like th HTC One for me as soon as its out.

Has all the speed i need in a phone, quad core processor, and is 4G ready too, so......for the moment it looks like the HTC One, but then again if i wait a couple more weeks no doubt i will have to do this all again as new phones are constantly coming out!!

Thats my fear too , soon as I decide something shiney gets released

I have HTC one x + and its brilliant. Originally I went Samsung s3 but it felt like a toy. The case is slippy and didn't fancy having to put it in a cheap looking cover on to hold and use without dropping- esp if prefer one handed operation!. S3 also had pre installed websites that I could not erase (on Vodafone) which pisses me off. HTC one x+ has superior memory at 64gb (but can't be increased) , faster processing speed (in my experience) and a rubberized black body that still is good as new 2 months later....... Can't praise it enough.

Is the E89 not set up in the comms department for iPhone? :?

My iphone 4S and now 5 work fine in my e89.

I thought that the system was built around iPhone use tho - in so much that iPhone was the preferred phone and would therefore match the cars comms options :?

I moved from iPhone 3GS to Samsung Galaxy s3 late last year.

Brilliant phone, great screen, slim, fast, easy to use, neat gestures, navigation works so well I don't use my TomTom anymore.

iPhone screens now seem very pokey. Didn't take long to get used to the larger size S3 even with short fingers.

I've also dropped it from head height onto the pavement without any problems...

Not sure what your point is...the cars bluetooth system should be able to support many different phones.

you can get cradles for different phones.

iDrive can make use of iphone in more ways if in the right multimedia cradle, but I dont know about other phones.

My Galaxy wont read sms and I reckoned this was a basic compatability problem.

BMW customer sevices seemed to be very much iPhone focused when I first registered with the assist .

All of this.

I have an iPhone5 for testing mobile sites at work and it feels like a kids toy in almost every way (especially the OS) compared to my S3.

I've never really been one for getting excited about phones but the S3 has been so good that I got uncharacteristically excited about the S4. I thought the phone was massive when i first got it but going back to "normal" phones now just feels wrong.

Only problem in 6 months is i cracked the screen after 2 weeks. I did this by dropping a large tin of beans out of the cupboard onto the phone lying on the worktop. Phone still works fine and i've not bettered getting it fixed despite the fix only costing £18.

I still have an iPhone 4S with no desire to upgrade. Does everything I need. S4 and new blackberry both look good but they don't offer more than I use now...
