My best mates dad is selling his pride and joy! He has owned the car from new and it has a full Honda history having been serviced annually despite only having 5k! It has been garaged and never driven in the wet etc. totally original with the orginal dealer stickers underneath and on the orginal tyres!

Any suggestions on the best places to promote the sale of such a rare car or advice on the advert much appreciated.

Nice & very low miles.

For the best price, it'll either have to go through a Honda Type R specialist, specialist auction (e.g. at a Type-R annual meet), or via the Type R club / forums (civictype-r.co.uk or type-r-owners.co.uk)

I almost bought a white Integra Type R when I was younger (bought the Corrado VR6 instead as I wanted something more comfortable for longer drives).

I'm not a Honda aficionado, but are you sure that's a Mk1 - as that looks like a Mk2 (Mk1 of the EP3 or Swindon cars?).

I'm not sure enthusiasts (and potential buyers) will be impressed with the lack of knowledge of a supposed fellow enthusiast.

This is what I'd call a Mk1 Type R (EK9)...

Edit: According to Wikipedia the one pictured above is the 6th generation civic so the one for sale must be 7th gen https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Civic

No, the EK9 was indeed the FIRST (mk1) Civic Type R

The EP3 was the second (mk2)

And the FN2/FD2 was the third (mk3)

The fourth (mk4) is the FK2 and isn't out yet
