Mixing Tyers

I think I would be happy with different fronts and rears as an interim - I'd have thought it was more an issue mixing tyres across an axle, which I would never do.
Alternatively, get 4 new Falkens and sell the contis on here for a couple of hundred quid to offset the cost a little - rear tyres are of course more frequently required, so I would guess they will shift. Test the water first for a 'possible for sale' thread maybe ?

I changed the rears on mine for Avon ZZ5's but the front Bridgestone RF''s were nearly new so I couldn't bring myself to ditch them just yet. The car handles just fine.
You have to get 265/40r18, which is what I've ran on mine for over a year.eddybear said:
Have spoken to Michelin directly, and they say they've got no plans to introduce the 255/40r18 (which the sell in the US/Canada) to the European market as it's not a common size over here.
I'm having my original contis replaced tomorrow with the new Falken FK453 on the rears tomorrow.
Can't see it being an issue. The fronts have loads of tread left but the rears are down to the wear indicators so they'll be into the harder compound and the balance won't be as it was originally. I haven't had problems with the handling, though it is a bit more twitchy at the rear in the wet as there is much less tread.
