Hi Guys,
Last week I fell on a pothole and caused a bubble on the side wall of my right front wheel
I am currently on the search for a replacement of both my front tires and keeping the original rear tires (which are still good for another 10,000 km or so). However in the country I live in (Chile) I'm unable to find the exact same tire (the Potenza RE050AI RFT 225/40/R18 88W), but I found a very close match, the Potenza RE050A RFT 225/40/R18 88Y. The main difference is that the speed rating of the new ones is Y instead of the original's W (one level higher in the speed index).
So my question is, is there any REAL problem or impact if I fit a pair of tires in the front that are speed rating Y while maintaining W in the rear?
Many thanks,
Luis
