Missing plastic underneath?

Hi all, spotted a bent back metal flap underneath, seems like 3 places where something would have previously attached? Perhaps some sort of plastic guard? Is this a factory standard component, and is it recommended?

Had it 1 month now, not sure if I knocked it off when I curbed the front the other day. Pretty sure I would have noticed a large chunk of plastic like that though...

Am I right in thinking I need part 6 from the link? Is it OK to drive for the minute until I get replacement?
 
You wouldn't just knock it off I don't think, mines taken a beating from when I was lowered on springs and it's still attached. I'm guessing it's been removed and someone decided to leave it off.

Someone has removed that as Gav says, they don't just come off. It hadn't had a MOT and/or service prior to purchase? Usually they don't remove them for mots but they may have and forgotten to put it back on.

Yes that's the part you need, just go to the local dealer and advise and they'll sort you out. It will be fine to drive for the moment, just better to get it sorted as soon as you can.
