Missing my Z

Hi all,

I've been a Z owner now for a few months. This car has really got under my skin (2.5si auto roadster). It's gone into the dealer to sort some bad hologramming in the paint work that I only noticed once the car had been delivered. So I have been without it for 3 days now and I have a really nice 3 series as a courtesy car.

The thing is I had the same courtesy car before the I got the Z, and at the time I was blown away with it and loved driving it. But this time I can't wait to give it back. With the pleasant evenings I pretty much always have the top down unless it's really chilly or raining in the Z (in fact I am amazed how many soft tops never seem to have theri top down even on suny days). So driving in a 'normal' car feel rubbishs. Not only are you in touch with the smells and the sounds having the top down, but driving the Z you are so in contact with the road and whilst you're driving it.. well you feel alive and in the moment. Driving around in this 3 series just so dull. I don;t lok forward to getting in it.

I never thought I'd feel so passionately about a car as I now do the Z... I just want her back nice and shiny!!!

What a sado!!!

Your not sad mate just love your car i look back at mine every morning i walk off to get the bus to work.

The stealers were more than likely the ones that caused the holograms.

You may be right Gaza62! ;-)

But got the Z back yesterday and wow, she looks gorgeous. Sytner Leicester have done me proud - all hologramming gone, which showed up real bad on the saphire black finish previously. I am so delighted with the car now. With the bright sun out, then the paint work looks amazing and the finish is really excellent. It looks like a brand new car.

I must admit I have not been that 'into' cars until getting the Z. So knew very little about paint work etc, but this forum has been so useful in identifying the problem I had and I even made contact with a 'detailer' near me found on this forum to come and check it out and give me a second opinion before talking to Sytner about it. So thanks Z4 forum for the help provided so far and thanks Sytner!!!
