missfire on start up

help my engine management light comes on when starting up and the cars lumpy and when plugged into the diagnostic m/c the fault code reading missfire on cylnders 1,3 once the cars up to temp the missfie goes away but the eng management light stays on
any ideas thanks

My first thought is leaking injectors. Leave your car for 24 hours, pull out the spark plug in cylinders 1 and 3, see if they have any fuel on them. They should not be wet.
 
Most likely leaking fuel injectors..fault description has al the hallmarks..solution is to fit Index 12 injectors in both banks ..all six..

Index 12 is the latest version to address this issue.. see this thread for further info..

hi guys need some help i have an 35i sdrive 309 bhp
when starting from cold it starts no problem it sits around 1500 revs with no missfire but when the revs are about to drop the engine management light comes on amber and the revs drop to around 700 and it starts to missfire on cylnder 1 cousing the car to be very lumpy and not sounding good,if the car is driven around 2 to 3 miles and heat up the engine management light goes out and the missfire's gone and the car runs fine the rest of the day,but next morrning its the same
any advice as to what the prob is thanks
