Miss fire 2004 3.0 Auto

Hi all

I have a 2004 3.0 auto with 50k on the clock. It's been well serviced but not by BMW!
When started from cold there is a distinct miss fire but only when you put your foot on the brake to select a gear. Release the brake and miss fire goes away. Leave it running for 5 mins and then press the brake and the miss fire has gone. Anyone else experienced this or can point me in the right direction?

Cheers

Hi Guss, welcome to the forum. Could be a number of things, such as dirty plugs, coil pack, MAF sensor etc.

Are any warning lights showing on the dash? This might help narrow it down

I think there's a vacuum leak somewhere. Pressing the brake increases the need for vacuum, aggravating the leak issue. Warming up increases vacuum supply because throttle is closed more, leak becomes less an issue.
