Problem solved - Indy diagnosed one of the index 6 injectors as faulty.
Warranty Direct accepted the claim for all 6 injectors to be renewed with index 12 supplied   by BMW (BMW give a 2 year warranty on the injectors). So all replaced, coded and an oil/filter change in case of oil dilution.
£1998 paid by Warranty Direct no issues or arguments at all just two short phone calls of around 3 min each.
Car is transformed in all areas, smoothness, response, accelaration, smoothness of tickover and mpg is up a little as well

That’s great news, you’ve certainly had your monies worth through warranty direct
You're right there bud, my three yr policy expires this june, it cost me £1100 for the three years and I am in to them for nearly £7k. They are an excellent company, they are super fast to sort claims every time..

It's probably your fault that they are now quoting closer to £2k for a years cover on a 35is

You might well be right, if you consider the very low number of 35i/35is left they probably insure very few so my claims would certainly be very visible.
Do you think I should issue a public apology to the forum

Yes, please. It's entirely plausible that yours is the only 35i or 35is on their books so the quote I got could have been based solely on your claims

I talked to them today reference when my payout is coming, after they confirmed it for tomorrow I asked them about your comment - as a joke. He laughed about it a bit but the real reason is that WD sold their brand to BNP Paribas then BNP sold the name WD to some other company! They share nothing with the original WD organisation in relation to staff etc.
So, maybe try talking to BMP Paribas and see if they do used car warranties.
