Mirrors

Despite owning my Z4 for a month, yesterday I noticed it has to different coloured mirrors, drivers side is gloss black and pass. side is satin black.
The car is metallic black so which mirror is the correct colour as I intend to paint one of them ?

Assuming your glossy lacquered mirror is the the correct colour then your satin black will need painting
 
Are you talking about the mirrors or the triangle bits supporting them?

Mirrors should be the same color as your car.

Now for the triangles, regular Z4s have them mate black, while BMW Individual Z4s have them gloss black.

Don't think that's right. At the English Welsh meet there were a few gloom ones, but none of them were individual spec.
 
The supporting triangles were a discoloured dark grey on mine when I bought it. The car is Sterling grey and I had to look closely to make sure they were supposed to be black. I cleaned them with STP and they came up nicely, matt black with a hint of a satin finish.

But my mirror glass is different on each side. :? The passenger side mirror seems normal but the driver's door mirror has a slight blue tint. Which of these is correct?

The mirror glass is prone to fall off (they are glued on) I reckon the blue tinted one is a replacement glass.

I noticed this at the Turnpike meet - some E85s had lovely gloss black triangular supports whereas mine are dark grey discoloured and have lots of surface marks :|
