Mirrors in parking position

Hi there
My 2007 z4 coupe has not got electric mirrors that can be put into park position. Did any of the z4 m come with electric mirrors

I believe it was an option - but you still have to push the switch manually (unless you customise them to auto-fold).

There's nothing stopping you twisting them up yourself manually though.

As mmm-five says, it was an option on all E85/86's as far as I know. Apparently very difficult to retrofit, so if you really, really want them it will be easier to sell your car and buy one with them already fitted!

I've always felt the way they fold upwards rather than inwards is a bit funny looking and almost screams out 'snap me off' to your local scumbags!

Despite some past threads to the contrary, I see in Carly this apparently can be done to some extent where elec mirrors are factory fitted http://support.mycarly.com/knowledge-base/code-bmw-what-is-possible/

Ok thanks folks.
Another car I owned automatically folded the mirrors when the remote lock was pressed on the key.
So this is not an option on the z4 m ?
Where is the folding mirror switch located - I just want to confirm that I don’t have the option .
Thanks

This was also the case with the intravee but never worked so would treat that with pinch of salt.

Mines got them! :D
I took mine off completely, as I never used them or the indicators anyway...and they just add drag.

There are no indicators on the folding mirrors, or any of the e85/86 mirrors, powered or otherwise.
:tumbleweed:

I have a set of someone is keen to give it a go.

I’ll be interested on seeing how you get on with Carly in general.

I did the retrofit on mine - I wasn’t too difficult, but I had to research and create a loom by myself

There are some details in one of the forum sections here - but I can’t remember if its in the HOW TO or the generic e85/86 discussion
