Mirror Options S430 vs S430A

Anybody know exactly what the difference is?

It’s the same ..just depends on the base car as to whether it’s 430 or 430A

There is no 430 on E89s on..only 430A…

Mmm. Didnt think we had dimmable mirrors on our old 23i but have them on the 35i

Vin decoder indicates S430. Mine tilt when in reverse and are heated and dimming.

I'm concerned since I need to replace and the S430A mirror glass is over $300.

Sounds about right. I read years ago that my X6 dimmable mirror glass was over £300.

Im sure ours is a bluish tint though, the X6 is definitely a blue tint

The E90 and G29 are both that sort of colour iirc. Definitely the E90

Picture was taken in full sunlight. The dimming is only to occur during night driving. In full sunlight it should be clear. Problem is when it remains dim during the day, the mirror reflection is distorted. Like there are two layers of glass.

And now I realize my mirror(s) might be "bad". I'm not going to lose sleep over this though.
