Mirror Down in reverse adjustment...

Is there a way to change the downward angle of the side mirrors when the car is put in reverse? I would like them to tilt down a little further. Car is a 2011 30i.

Probably the only way is to have them set lower to begin with.

I'm sure if you adjust it while in reverse it remembers the position next time.

I'm in the same boat, would like the mirror to tilt down a bit further.
Unfortunately to get the mirror to tilt down, the selector needs to be switched over to the drivers side. As soon as you switch over to adjust the passenger side mirror, it returns to it's normal position. You can adjust it, but it will stay in that position when you come out of reverse, it doesn't tilt up because you have the selector in the wrong position.
I had a brief look to see if Carly would allow the tilt angle to be adjusted, but it looks like the feature can only be enabled/disabled.
I don't think it can be changed, which is a bit of a pain.

I have a Smarttop module that allows the mirror to tilt down to its lowest setting, and then when you come out of reverse it will rise for a set period of time before stopping. A smarttop module might be your answer (though quite expensive if thats the only thing you want it for).
