Mirror cover pics

I tried a search and I couldn't find any.

I was wondering if anyone had any pics of carbon fibre mirror covers.

I just saw a car with different mirrors and it looked pretty neat.

Thanks

Was having a look at these. It doesn't seem like they go all the way around? As in, you would be able to see your original paint/colour on the mirror side?

Would be good if someone has them installed and can show a pic - everything I've looked up just shows the front side (so I assume the mirror side doesn't look great if you don't have a black Z).

Got some myself but not installed yet. They don’t go all the way round and I wanted them to look all black.

So I bought a second set of oem mirror covers and painted them. Then put the carbon on top. I’ll get some pics tonight :)

Mine aren't covers, I had the mirror caps wrapped in carbon fiber hence the whole thing is done, but you get the idea

Wow that looks really good! Is that done in 1 piece? I tried to do mine but I failed miserably and ended up doing 3 pieces :( I guess carbon would be worse since the patterns won't line up.

Ooo would love to see that! I was thinking I could do something like that but instead just wrap the exposed part of my mirror in gloss black or something first.

They're laminated in real carbon fiber, I sent them off to a guy I know who does it.

These are some pics from Zed Fest... from LAST year! Just found them 8)

The covers look better than I imagined from the mirror side. I wonder if it would be better to do gloss black or satin black for the exposed part? Satin so it looks like plastic trim?

Damn you guys now I gotta spend money again.. :headbang: :P

Kis, yours look nice. Is there a separate cover on the inside around the actual mirror?

These are my ones :)

Edit: these are all black, it's just the lighting and contrast of the photo. I wanted to ensure you could see clearly the parts that are the OEM mirror housing, and the part that is the stick on carbon cover.

So the ones of the Titan Silver Zed aren't mine, but is what mine would look like if I didn't paint them black. They just happened to be someones I stumbled across at Zed Fest, after I'd actually bought mine. So it worked out perfect in timing. I went the all-black route.

Not sure what you mean about the separate cover? The carbon piece is very thin, one or two mm thick and attaches with double sided 3M tape to your existing mirror. You could easily just stick them on, but I wanted a more seamless look, so I painted them black before sticking them on :)

This is actually a good alternative to getting them done all round, they look great!
