Mirror Burn

Noticed that driver's side mirror has a burn toward the lower part of the mirror. Both side mirrors are warm to the touch all the time. Are the heating elements supposed to be on all the time or only with certain climate controls ?

Mirror heating is always on.

Not sure why you've got burning. Are you sure it isn't just where the,silvering is failing?
